Update
your Anti-Virus Software
I must
start sounding like a broken record, but it is important that you keep your
anti-virus software up to date. It seems that I come across more and more
clients that when you start their computer, you see the “Your Anti-Virus
Software is Out of Date” message when I start their computer. Like most
people, they just close the warning message and go about their computer
business. “What are you thinking?”
With all
of the “free” anti-virus software available, why are you still running an
out-dated version? It’s almost as bad as not having any anti-virus software at
all. Could that be the logic behind it? You’re better off with little if no
protection? Shame! Shame!
Please,
update your anti-virus software subscription or remove it and download a free
version. There are many “free” versions to choose from on my “Downloads”
web page. (DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS ANTIVIRUS 2007 – IT IS SPYWARE!) Yes, the
“free’ versions do have some limitations, but it’s better than out dated
or no protection at all.
By the way, you should only have one anti-virus program installed or you could do more harm than good.
